Submit Your Rural Health Story

At WhatAboutRuralHealth?™ (WARH), we believe that every voice from the field matters. Whether you’re a health worker, caregiver, patient, or advocate living or working in a rural community, your story can inspire change, drive awareness, and contribute to better healthcare systems for underserved populations.

Why Share Your Story?

Rural health challenges are often invisible in national conversations. Sharing your experience can:

  • Highlight gaps in the system
  • Showcase resilience and innovation
  • Help us build stronger advocacy for rural communities

What We’re Looking For

We welcome stories that reflect:

First-hand experiences in rural healthcare (as a worker, patient, or community member)
Community efforts to improve access and care
Challenges you’ve faced: long distances, limited staff, lack of infrastructure
Moments of hope, breakthroughs, and solutions that worked

Audio Submission Guidelines

We’re excited to hear your voice! If you’re a healthcare worker, caregiver, resident, or advocate with firsthand experience in rural health, follow these simple guidelines to submit your story:

1. Story Format

Structure your story into three clear sections:

• Introduction: Tell us who you are, where you’re based, and your connection to rural health.
• Body: Share the main experience or insight—what happened, what challenge was faced, what impact was made.
• Conclusion: Wrap up with a reflection, lesson learned, or a call to action for listeners.

2. Technical Requirements

• Length: 2 to 5 minutes max
• Audio Quality: Record in a quiet space. Use earphones or a phone mic for clear sound. Avoid background noise.

3. Consent & Authenticity

Submissions must be true personal experiences.
By submitting, you grant What About Rural Health permission to edit and feature your audio on our platforms, including the podcast.

If you mention real people or patients, avoid sharing names or identifiable details unless you have their permission.
